FIRST ENTRY

This is my first post. Over the course of this blog's history I hope to enlighten, inform and entertain y'all in my knowledge and history of the harmonica. Through my past experiences I've played and taught and also met several hundred harp players over the course of my many years of playing. The harmonica has been a vital and very colorful instrument in the development of the early blues, folk, country, jazz and rock as well. My history and experiences have been rewarding and continue to be. I actively play 2-3 times a week as well as teach beginner and some advanced lessons in Knoxville, TN. Throughout the existence of this blog I will try to inform you of some of my favorite Web Sites that are devoted to this awesome instrument including Coast2Coast, JT30.com, Dave Gage’s “harmonica lesson.com”, Blue Barry Faust, Tom Ball, Mitch Kashmar, Fingers Taylor, Best lil’ Harp House, this list is endless. To quote my good friend "Texas Tom" Bucy aka/ Robert Thomas, "Mikey play it like it’s your last day on earth". And so I'll try to devote that same kind of energy to this blog in hopes of spreading the word. It is truly a wonderful, simple, complex and exciting instrument. Hang tight I'll return soon w/ URL’s links and a plethora of cool photos....peace, mc
